Peppol e-invoicing · Mauritius
Connect your ERP to MRA e-invoicing.
A Peppol-ready ERP can provide a starting point for Mauritius e-invoicing. We help your software team bridge the gap between its invoice data and MRA requirements.
For businesses using an international ERP
Your group may already exchange Peppol invoices elsewhere. A Mauritius company still needs its own MRA setup and the right local invoice information. We assess the existing export rather than assuming another country’s configuration can be reused unchanged.
For software publishers and integrators
Use the same assessment for an accounting package, POS or custom billing system. Identify when an invoice is final, where its reference is allocated and how your application will wait for the MRA outcome before releasing the customer document.
What your developer should check
Can your system export Peppol BIS Billing invoice and credit-note data? Can it include seller BRN and VAT details, customer information, tax categories and currency information? Can it receive an acceptance or correction result and place the MRA QR code on the final document? These are the practical questions for a first assessment.
Foreign currencies and credit notes
Provide a sample foreign-currency invoice and a credit note linked to an earlier invoice. We check the exchange-rate source and MUR amounts, tax treatment, original reference and reason for the adjustment. This catches differences that a simple local-currency invoice may not reveal.
Agree the release and recovery flow
An invoice sent is not necessarily an invoice accepted. Your teams agree how accepted documents are released, how rejected details are corrected and how interrupted submissions are checked before retrying. The setup should cover normal processing and exceptions.
